File Closure Management

The matter closing process is often poorly handled by law firms as is a process that is left to last minute when filing cabinets and space become overloaded.

By using the LFS File Closure process, the fee earner can mark a file as "ready for Closing" that process a number of tasks that are set by the organisation such as Client Satisfaction forms, Checking if the account balance are zero and that tasks are completed.

Once the closure criteria is met, the file is identified by the Archiving/Dead Filing team for the file to be collected, processed into the storage system (boxed or shelved) and filed away with its unique identifier.  The file is lodged for destruction at the end of its filing term and the matter status is updated to reflect these changes.
